I’ve been really busy lately working on my affiliate sites. I’ve been really taking time to get to know the visitors of each of my sites and understanding their needs and how I can make each site better for them.

Part of making my sites better is understanding the needs of my visitors and how I can provide them with the content, information, and products they need. When searching for products and affiliate programs there are a number of networks available to let you offer just about any product available.  You can even sell products from Walmart if you want! One affiliate network that I’ve been really liking more and more is the Pepperjam Network.  The number of merchants are slowly growing in Pepperjam’s portfolio, but what makes Pepperjam so darn cool is the number of inovative ways they offer to affiliates for getting products into their visitors hands.

Pepperjam has the standard banner and text ads you can sprinkle throughout your site.  But Pepperjam also has a few other cool tools for you to use as well.

They are currently beta testing a new program called  inText that delivers merchant products linked automatically to relevant keywords appearing in your site content which is matched to the advertiser’s ad. Right now the only merchant in the beta is eBay, however I’ve tested it and it works great. You can adjust the number of hyperlinks in your content and how you wish to have the hyperlinks appear, i.e. underline, double underline, etc.  It’s a great way to sell without selling.

The next program is PepperjamAds.  PepperjamAds are a lot like Google Adsense where text based ads are placed on your site through a small widget.  The widget can be sized to any of your standard banner sizes and customized to the look and feel of your site. The big bonus is that PepperJamAds has the potential to pay better than Adsense.

Another really cool program Pepperjam offers is called PJN Store Builder.  It’s been around for a little while and I really don’t know why it hasn’t gotten more attention. PJN Store Builder allows you to create entire pages based on merchant products you’ve singed up for.  Its a really great way to quickly build store pages for you blogs or sites and begin making money in a matter of minutes.

And if all of that isn’t cool enough, how does $10 bucks sound? That’s right, Pepperjam will pay you $10 whenever you sign up to be an affiliate!  That I don’t know how much faster you can start making money online than that!

Well, its kind of a sad day today for me. I want to tell you all that I’m no longer recommending BANS for building web sites.  BANS, or Build a Niche Store has been a great little script that was my first introduction to money making affiliate marketing.

BANS for anyone who doesn’t know was a great script that would allow you to quickly build an entire ebay affiliate site in a matter of minutes. Google it seems is really out to cleanup what they call thin affiliate sites and has been de-indexing sites who use products like BANs to build these ebay affiliate sites.

There is good news though for anyone who has ebay affiliate sites or has experienced getting de-indexed by Google.  What I would recommend is to replace your BANS sites with WordPress and PHPBay.  PHPBay essentially does the same thing as BANS however it add additional functionality to hide your affiliate links so that they appear to look like they are links from your own site.  Plus when you switch over to using WordPress (which is free) you get a much better way to publish, monetize, manage and optimize your content.

UNIQUE CONTENT:  Content that only exists on your site and no where else on the Internet.

One mistake I had been making recently with my sites and blogs has been to post to much duplicate content and not enough unique content on my sites.  Oh sure the content has been original content written either by me or for me.  But what I was doing was submitting this same content to Article Directories and Blog networks too!!  Big Mistake!!

You see, I’m lazy and what I’ve been avoiding is the extra work to either rewrite an article or have a second article written.  Well, I’m here to tell ya, go the extra mile and get a second article written or just get twice as much content created than you think your going to need.  It will save you a lot of time and get your site ranking much faster.

Piles of Content

So today I take three approaches to content for my sites.  Or maybe I should say I take my content and put it into three piles.  The first pile I save for my site. This content is only posted to my site and no where else.

The next two piles I use to post to article directories and to blog networks.  For this I use Josh Spaulding’s Article Marketing Domination.  I take the first of the last two piles and post it to a handful of highly ranking Article Directories.  The last pile I post to has many Article Directories and Blogs as I can.  For the Blogs I use 1 Way Links which gives me access to thousands of backlinks. The result is amazing.

Here is why I do what I’m doing:

• The first pile (unique content) is so that google and my readers will the site.  This content is good quality content and it exists no where else except my site.
• The second pile (high PR directories) is for indexing and getting page authority to be passed to my site.  Also these high ranking article directories are loved by google and are indexed very often (sometimes hourly).
• The third pile (lots of directories and blogs) is for the backlinks – lots and lots of backlinks

Can 1 Way Links Help Your Site Rank?

Thanks to Mark Mason over a Mason World I decided to check out 1 Way Links.  Mark recently had a promotion where he was giving away FREE Backlinks for anyone who wanted to try 1 Way Links.  I tried it and liked what I saw!  So like any good drug dealer, Mark got me hooked and I wanted more.

I’ve tried some of Jonathan Ledgers other products in the past, 3 Way Links and Instant Article Wizard Pro.  Both were exceptional products.  But I no longer subscribe to either product due to one issue or another I had with each product.   This time I think is different.  After giving 1 Way Links a try and actually buying the product, it is his best to date.

I guess I’m pretty picky when it comes to software for helping me run my business and I don’t recommend anything that I don’t buy and use myself.  But 1 Way Links is an awesome product that I highly recommend.

One of the problems I have been having with my business is that I get ranked on page 1 of Yahoo and in MSN… but I’m no where to be found in Google!  I know my on page SEO is good (of course there’s always some improvement – but overall its good).  So why is Google not ranking me?  Its got to be Backlinks!  This is where 1 Way Links comes in to save the day.

Get up to 750 backlinks with 1 way links

For $47/mo you get backlinks from 250 other blogs back to your blog or website. Each blog post can have 3 links each giving you a total of 750 backlinks per month.  I think this comes out to be like $.06 a link. Not bad!!   There is no code you have to paste to your site or anything like that. The only thing you are required to do is “donate” a blog to the 1 Way Links blog network. Which is super simple to do. It can even be a subdomain off of another domain  you already own so it won’t cost you anything at all.

Add more blogs to 1 way links, get more backlinks

You can also donate up to 25 other blogs and get backlinks to an additional 50 blogs each (250 backlinks) or 1250 blogs total which is something crazy like 3750 backlinks (1250 x 3 = 3750) just from the additional blogs.  Total is like 4500 backlinks!!!  I think my math is right on this.. but you get the point.
