Real WordPress Blog Automation

automation

automationI need to vent here!

My last couple of posts I wrote about the Affiliate Mage System and Master Mage Systems recently launched by Greg Jacobs.  Well the launch is out and honestly I was very shocked and I feel I need to apologize for adding to the hype.

When I found out how much he is charging for this system my jaw just dropped.  Priced at $1297 I could not believe the audacity.  Even with a $300 discount using coupon code “LetMeIn” only brings this down to $997.  Still this is way way too much!  Granted it looks like a good product but it is way overpriced. I’ll explain why.

Almost everything in this package can be purchased with existing services or plugins and will cost you a tenth of what this is priced at!

So today I’m going to review some alternative ways to autoblog and add some WordPress Automation to your business with out it costing you a thousand dollars.

Firepow

Firepow is a great tool for managing hundreds of blogs.  Andrew Hansen was one of the first to do this and continues to deliver a high quality product! Firepow allows you to quickly build an armada of WordPress blogs each prebuilt with a nice complement of plugins designed to optimize, SEO, and promote your niche. If you haven’t had a chance to check it out I encourage you to do so.  Price on Firepow is about $100 bucks/ month

WP Robot

This is in a nut shell a suite of wordpress modules that fit together to do almost everything that the Master Mage System can do.  Autopost articles to your blog, translate articles to produce unique content, auto embed Flickr images in to each post, auto embed your Amazon, ebay, Clickbank affiliate products into your posts, auto emend YouTube videos, create Yahoo answers posts, and a whole lot more. I havent fully tested this one yet but so far it looks very promising  :-)   Price is about $140 bucks.

Rolling Your Own

There are certainly more ways to skin this cat and accomplish more for less.  There at many different plugins out there that will allow you to make up your own combinations to automate much of your blogs.  If you own PHBay, PHPOstock, Autoblogger, CARP, Caffeinated Content, etc., the list goes on and on… you can set yourself up with a very nice auto-blogging system that will make you a nice chunk of change.  Many Many Internet Businesses have been built on these exact tools and have done very very well.

Just please remember, no matter what anyone tells or what you read in a sales letter,  there are no push button successes.  They all take work.

What kind of WordPress Automation have you put together on your sites? What tools are you using to make your life easier and to help you make money.  Share your ideas, we would love to hear it!

Adept Mage Membership – WordPress Mage

Wordpress Mage

WordPress Mage is going live on Monday November 23rd 2009.

Before I forget, click on the image to get your FREE copy of <--WordPress Mage Blueprint.

Learn how Greg Jacobs lays out his step by step formula to create a 5 figure a month passive income online.

Get 7 video training modules where you look over Gregs shoulders as he builds profitable wordpress mage sites less than 7  minutes.

Everything you ever need to know about building profitable wordpress mage sites is in the WordPress Mage Blueprint.

I’ve put together a quick video review of the Adept Mage Membership system from Greg Jacobs.  This is currently free for 60 days and comes with a ton of material for jump starting your affiliate web site business.

The Adept Mage Membership program is the  basic membership level of the WordPress Mage system. I’ve signed up to it purely to check it out and to get some really cool giveaways. After the two month trial the membership fees are $27/mo which is still pretty cheap considering what you get.

Domain Mage – Search over 100 thousand enom aftermarket domains to bring you the few domains that have valid pagerank and backlinks.  Saves you a ton of time by finding domains quickly that already have back links, page rank, and age

Article Mage – This is an awesome PLR library. This library consists of over 140k (one hundred forty thousand) PLR articles arranged by tag and category. These are available to be used and re-written for content in your new Mage site

Index Mage – This a cool little tool where you can input your new domain name (and it does a few tricks) to get your site indexed in the search engines very quickly

Keyword Mage – They have indexed and stored over 28 million eBay auction titles sorted by eBay category.  Input the eBay US category # into Keyword Mage and it returns all the times those particular words appeared together within an auction title.  This is powerful because you can then use these “seed” keywords with Affiliate Mage to pull relevant eBay auctions. On the full Master Mage system, these keywords can also be used with Content Mage to pull relevant content and with Posting Mage to mass create pages

Affiliate Mage – An exciting (and FREE) WordPress Plugin, you input a seed keyword and it allows you to pull relevant products from eBay, Amazon and Overstock with your affiliate ID encoded and ready to make a profit.  This is very similar to phpBay pro, however it allows you to bring in amazon and OverStock product items too.  Oh and did I say it was free?

I’ve put together a video review of the Adept Mage Membership check it out.

WordPress Mage Review

point- click - profitwordpress mageHey guys, I try not to get too excited about product launches. But from time to time a new product comes out that really grabs my attention and this is one of those times.  It’s called WordPress Mage and if you  have ever done any type of affiliate marketing you REALLY need to check this one out.

WordPress Mage, created by Greg Jacobs, is an amazing product!  I really hate to use hypey sounding words to describe a product but I really think its going to take affiliate marketing to a new level!

I recently was introduced to WordPress Mage by Wade Wells who is the author of the PHPBay Pro plugin for WordPress.  Needless to say if Wade was recommending it I wanted to see what it was about.

In a nutshell WordPress Mage is an automated system that will allow you to build hundreds of affiliate websites, fully populated with content, images for your articles, Youtube Videos, ebay affiliate products, Overstock affiliate products, Amazon.com affiliate products, and Google Adsense.  All created in a matter of minutes, not days or weeks!!!

When I saw this I was truly truly amazed!

I was truly blown away when I saw this system.  Honestly, I’m still blown away!

My first thought when I saw WordPress Mage was how it was very similar to Firepow.  It is way different than FirePow, but very similar in the end result.

Right now Greg Jacobs is GIVING AWAY FREE a 60 day trial to his WordPress Mage system just to try it.  Along with the free trial you get a free copy of his Wordpres Mage BluePrint and a free download of his Affiliate Mage Plugin for WordPress which will allow you to add all of your eBay, Overstock, and Amazon.com product listings to your WordPress posts!  He also has a ton of reports, ebooks, and PLR content to help you make a ton of money online.

Here is Greg Jacobs himself to explain everything:

Optimizing Your Landing Page

landing

landingLately I’ve been playing around with optimizing my landing pages. This can be a really fun task or it can be very frustrating. The nice thing is there are plenty of free tools to help you split test and experiment to see what works and what doesn’t.

Google Website Optimizer
Google, in their quest for gathering as much information about people who browse the internet as they can, has  lots of free tools to help you also “see” whats going on with your site visitors. One nice tool from the Google Analytics tool box is the ability to split test traffic coming to your site. Google affectionately calls this the Website Optimizer.  Oh and its free of course!

The first thing you want to do is to create an experiment for your split test.  As soon as you do this you will be presented with the option to choose A/B test or Multivariate.  My advice to you is to stick with the A/B test, at least for now.  The A/B test will allow you to test two different pages side by side to see which one performs better.   As you set up your experiment, you will want to compare small changes between two different pages.  For example, test two different headlines and see which one is better, etc.

The multivariate test  – the multivariate test is a much more complex test -where you test multiple changes on a page at the same time.  It’s a very advanced, complex method of testing changes, but until your comfortable doing A/B split testing, I would stay clear of it for now.

To finish up your A/B testing you will obviously need two different pages to test.  Google will ask you to add some code to these pages so that they can detect which pages are getting accessed more.  Also, one of the pieces of code that Google will have you add to your site will do the redirects between the different test pages for you!  Google’s directions are pretty straight forward, just follow them along and you will have your split test setup in no time.

You should probably make sure you are getting some decent traffic to your website before you start split testing things.  I would say at least around 40-50 unique visits a day to be able to get a clear picture of your visitors behavior.

Exit Pop-ups
Another quick and easy trick to add to your website that really improves sign up to your mailing list is an exit pop-up.  Many people really hate pop-ups, but if you use them correctly and not nag your visitors they really provide an added benefit to your site.

One great free exit pop-up is from BigSellingOptins.com from Brian Terry.  Brian has a cool free plugin for wordpress that allows you to add popup optin form when people start to exit your site.   Configured correct, It really improves optins dramatically.  There are lots of options to configure this plug-in. Tune it so that it only pops-up once in a session or maybe even less.  I use it as a simple reminder for people not to forget to sign up for my free mini-course or ebook.  Again don’t overuse it and test to see what works best for you.

How to Create a Great Sales Letter

for-sale-sign

for-sale-signNo matter what your business model or what your niche is, if you’re an online  internet marketer or have a website and are involved in online sales in any way, you will eventually need to create a great sales letter.

Today I’m going to breakdown the sales letter and give an explanation of each section of the sales letter and why each part is so important.

Elements of the Sales Letter

  • Pre-Headline
  • Headline
  • Sub-Headline
  • Salutation
  • Body Copy
    • Opening Paragraph
    • Bucket Brigade Words
    • Bullets
  • Testimonials
  • Irresistible Offer
  • Compelling Guarantees
  • Closing the Sale (Call to Action)
  • The post script (p.s.)

Anatomy of the Sales Letter

Pre-Head

Designed to set up the headline for the grade showcases o it can get the maximum impact and attention. Mainly designed to prelude a big bold statement that headline makes.

Example: For the first time ever…

Headline – Goes right below the pre-headline, and is designed to work with the first part of the AIDA formula – which is to get maximum attention and stopping power.

Generate intrique. Curiousity, and have a big benefit

Ways to create headlines… either create from scratch or use an existing headline to create a new one.

Examples

Discover…

Who else is…

Who else is ready to…

How to…

Sub-Headline – designed to tip off the headline and to transition into the resot of the body copy.

Its there to carry on the momentum that the headline creates in the prospect.

(Keep it related to the headline. Make sure you keep all three – pre-head, head, and sub-head – all within the same thought.)

Example – this is where you tie all three together:

Pre-Head – For the first time ever…

Headline- Discover the proven time tested method for having the most lush lawn on the block – even in the winter!

Sub-head- That’s secretly used in multi-million dollar neighborhoods to keep the property values up.

Salutation – the most powerful thing you can do is to get someone’s attention is to call them by their name.  If you know the name of your audience call them by that or simply call them friend

Exmaple – Dear Friend: (always works)

Better example – Dear Joe.(esp. for email)

In a niche – Dear fellow model train lover.

Opening Paragraph – the most powerful elements of your sales copy! It ties together the massive attention getting headline with the transition into the copy of the body

This iss the most difficult part of the sales copy.  But here is a good formula to help you can through writing the opening paragraph.  Use the If/Then/Because formula…

Examples:

If / Then

Because  or Yes it’s true, etc.

If you always wanted to have a happy family that brings you years of joy and fun in your life, but had problems due to infertility issues…

then this is going to be the most important information you’re ever going to read.

Because, in less than 3 minutes and 57 seconds you’re about to discover an amazing time-tested proven formula used by thousands across the world to have happy healthy children – without unhealthy dangerous, fertility drugs.

But, before I go into to that here my story…

(then go into your story)

I tried to get pregnant and never could…

Bucket Brigade Words -  these are words that connect different parts of the sales letter together.

So you would have the following:

Paragraph 1

And it  hit me…

Paragraph 2

You know what else?

Paragraph 3

Whats more…

Paragraph 4

And heres what to do now…

Bucket brigade words help your sales copy flow while breaking up the content to be easily scanned

Bullets – these are designed to generate maximum interest, curiousity, an desire at the same time. There are 3 types of bullets

  1. One punch bullets
  2. Two punch bullters
  3. Three punch bullets (these can be the most powerful)

So for example:

One Punch Bullet

-          Tap into an unlimited source of free profit producing search engine traffic

Two Punch Bullet

-          Tap into an unlimited source of free profit producing search engine traffic (that never slows down)

Three Punch Bullet

-          Tap into an unlimited source of free profit producing search engine traffic (that never slows down) and only increases over time – without ever having to pay a penny for it, using the revolutionary MoneyWord Matrix that lets you skip the line in the search engines and superglue your pages to the top…

Bullets come in many forms and talk about or disclose different things. Here are a list of some different bullet topics

  1. The benefit bullet
  2. The feature driven bullet
  3. Curiosity at work bullet
  4. Curiosity reward bullet
  5. Self interest bullet
  6. Info/giveaway bullet

You can use one or all of these bullet topics when creating bullets for your sales letter.  Each are designed to provoke interest in your product in a different way or show a different aspect of your product.

Testimonials – this is where your claims about the product are reaffirmed by other people who have used the product.  Its one thing for you to talk about your product and a completely different thing when someone else is recommending your product.

Irresistible Offer - Bonuses, deep discounts, limited availability, limited time onn the offer.   These are all items that increase the interest and urgency of the call to action

Compelling Guarantees – Make your prospect feel comfortable in their decision to buy through knowing they can return the product and get their money back without questions or hassles.

Closing the Sale (Call to Action) – This is where you tell the person to buy the product. Its seems silly to think about it but it is needed.  You tell the person where to buy.

Post Script – This is where you remind the reader of the Irresistible offer, the compelling guarantees, and the reasons this is a good choice.  Its also good to have an additional call to action here too!

Using AIDA for Creating Better Landing Pages

firstaida

firstaidaIf you start writing or creating sales pages you will eventually run into an acronym that used in helping write effective sales copy. This acronym is AIDA.  It’s used by the best online marketers to ensure maximum interest and effectiveness of their sales copy

What is A.I.D.A.? – Simply put, A.I.D.A  is a time tested formula used for writing effective persuasive sales copy that’s viturally guaranteed windfall profits.

A.I.D.A.  stands for:

  • Attention
  • Interest
  • Desire
  • Action

Lets break this down and try to understand each part.

Attention – This is where you get the attention of the visitor or the person reading. Grab them by the collar and force the reader to read the rest of the body of copy

Interest -  This is where you generate interest… once you have their attention you have to generate interest. … this is  done by using a powerful opening paragraph and story lines

Desire – Next you create desire, make them want what you have… This is where your body copy merges with the testimonials, bullets, and your product.

Action – Once you have them interested this is the time to get them to take action. The call to Action… To buy your product.

But how do you use this to create your sales copy?  Its easy to talk about the concept but how to create a good sales letter using AIDA.  All of these parts come together in your sales letter.  Each part of  the sales letter is broken down into each part of AIDA to create a time tested formula for hitting home and closing the sale.

Next week I’ll go into a breakdown of a sales letter and show you exactly how each part of the AIDA formula is used to create a cash creating sales letter!

It all come together in the sales letter.

How to Except Payments for Ads on your Website

small for rent

small for rentMost web sites who make money through advertising do so by simply adding Google adsense and throwing some Pepperjam banners on their site.  But what if things start taking off for you and the next thing you know, people are contacting you wanting to advertise on your site?  You need a good solution for people to PAY YOU to advertise on your site.  But how?  Well I have a couple cool solutions for you.

So there you are… one day,  just working on your websites.  Just a normal day and all of a sudden you get an email asking what your rates are to advertise on your site?  What do you do?  Let out a big cheer?!?  or PANIC?!? or BOTH?

Well lets see… you can just send on email, with some prices you pulled out of your butt and tell the guy to send money to your paypal account.  Simple enough.  Not very professional though.

One thing you can do is hire a service like buysellads.com.  They provide everything you need including, promoting your site to advertisers, working with advertisers, and making sure your current advertisers stay on as advertisers. But of course this comes at a price. Buysellads.com takes 75% on ad sales. To me thats little steep but they do provide a valuable service.

Another option is OIO Publisher. OIO Publisher is a WordPress plugin that will create a very nice backend ad manager for you right on your website. OIO Publisher will allow advertisers to choose an ad spot, upload the image, add the proper URL, and clear it all through paypal!  It will even email advertisers an invoice and create recurring ad campaigns for continued revenue.

OIO Publisher comes a t a price too.  It’s a premium plugin that sells for $47.  It’s a one time fee that allows you to use OIO Publisher on as many websites as you want. Right now you can get $10 off the price of OIO Publisher.  This is good through the end of the month.  Click HERE and use the code FAWKES-MEDIA to receive the discounted price of $37.

This discount code changes every month so if it doesn’t work, leave a comment and I’ll update the discount code so that you can get the $10 bucks off.

All in all – whether you go with buysellads.com or do it yourself with OIO Publisher, any way to manage ads on your site is better than no way. And more professional looking.
